Detox Maintenance Lifestyle - Smoothie Recipe

This recipe for pineapple, grapefruit, celery and parsley smoothie tastes absolutely delicious.
This recipe is full of health-giving vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants. Easy to prepare with your juice extractor, it is a great way to give yourself a healthy burst of sunshine flavours.

Serves 2

1/2 a fresh pineapple
2 fresh grapefruit
4 stalks celery
handful of fresh parsley leaves

Peel the pineapple, dig out all the little pockets of skin, and cut into chunks
Scrub clean the celery stalks
Wash and dry the parsley leaves, and cut off the main stalks
Slice the grapefruit in half, and squeeze the juice into a measuring jug, using a sieve to prevent the pips getting in
Feed the pineapple chunks and celery stalks into the juice extractor funnel.  To get a really integrated taste, keep alternating the ingredients
Add to the grapefruit juice and mix well.  Put some of the juice mixture into the liquidizer and add the parsley.  Blend well and stir into the remaining juice. Serve immediately
